You absolutely can not mount those stand bas ackwards, & get them to fit all 3 factory holes(as already mentioned). you need the short waterpump & pulleys/ect to get the fan in the proper spot. Yes, sb V8 position does put the dist a long way from the firewall! I like to mount my sb v8's in the I 6 (250) spot......or same as the 4wd. A small cap dist works best for the swap, although the HEI will fit. where you are right now, I wouldnt move the eng......just get the proper pcs on front   L
