Re: Texas safety inspection
I just had mine inspected last weekend. I think the inspector was still flustered from having a hard time with the 3-on-the-three to worry about the exhaust leak after the muffler on mine. He was actually supposed to fail it due to the patch (now that I have read the requirements posted above). All other items on my truck were sound.
I live in Harris County (Houston) where they are pretty strict, but like everyone else says it really depends on the individual inspector.
