Re: Removing Hood

Well I tore into it last night, hood is off, cowl is off, front bumper is off and passenger side fender, all ready for me to start removing the rocker at the weekend. Man they put these things together well, couldn't believe how many bolts and screws they used to attach the fender. Was helped by my new garage companions who have the 69 Camaro and 68 Impala I mentioned in my previous post. They also decided to tear into the engine to see exactly what it is so removed the valve cover on one side to get the head and block casting numbers which are as follows:

Block:
3956618....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
3956618....327...68-69...2
3956618....350.....69....2 or 4

Heads:

3947041....69-70...302/350......"Right angle" casting identifier, 64cc chamber, accessory holes, good HP head

I was told by the previous owner that it was a 69 350 out of a Camaro so these seem to bear it out. Are these a reasonable block and heads?
