Well, I got it done easier than expected. I put a floor jack (and block of wood) under the T-case cross member, leaving it attached to T-case. I unbolted the cross member from the frame and pulled the T-case straight back from the trans. I rolled the jack slowly and the T-case stayed on the jack and out of the way for trans removal. I had a block of wood on the oil pan to keep weight off the motor mounts. I then removed the trans just like a 2wd - lowering it with another jack. Thanks for the input and I'm back on the road again!!!
