Instead of all that grinding and filler rod.....with a panel as easy to access as that, why not hammer weld it with a torch, no filler rod or TIG needed.....

The reason is because probably 90% of the restores out there use a mig welder.
The process shows you HOW to get that smooth seem regardless of what method you use. No matter what welding method you use you NEED to remove the proud weld bead before you planish it.
Pretty much all metal shapers Ive meet and talked too use a TIG because it creates less warpage.

He too uses the uncool use of a cutoff wheel for grinding as well as 100% of all body man Ive worked with. I guess we are all hacks
