I agree with ya, except hammer welding WITHOUT filler rod doesn't produce a bead, as it's hammered down during the welding process.............
And I too use a cutoff wheel for grinding.....works very well in certain circumstances.....wear proper protection.
Nothing wrong with the repair in the video......
