Check for a loose electrical connection, either at the battery or at the solenoid. Sounds to me like an electrical issue, but not a serious one...
The times it won't turn over... Can you jump the terminals on the remote solenoid and it work?
But, I'm no expert. Hopefully someone else will jump in here...
