Follow-up to Jackson Performance transmissions....

I had my second go "rebuilt" trans inspected by a local shop. Outcome was decent. The shop told me that there were new clutches installed. They did not recognize any type of parts to be aftermarket or hardened (sprag) like jackson performance advertised. They said that things were a little dirty inside and they had to replace a couple small parts.
The second trans is ok but I certainly don't think I got what I paid for.

The torque convertor was not returned with the transmission. When I talked to Jackson racing, they said that they never received it. Bull. The torque convertor was banded directly in place. They said that it must have been lost in shipping and to claim it on the trucking insurance. That's fraud since I am 100% sure the convertor was there.
I believe that the convertor was not returned since it was full of clutch/debris from the 1st tranny and they didn't want to have to shell out the money to replace it.

Moral of the story... even though they have great appearing feedback on ebay...they can still be crooks. Be careful!
