Re: Weight, specs
Thanks for the reply's.. As it turns out, I'm going to go look at it this weekend, but not going to have a trailer or truck... so, if I like it, i'll have to go back up to get it.. It's in il, it's a 1970 gmc swb. From the pics it doesn't have power brakes or power steering, or air... so, i've been reading about converting those.. well, haven't read about ac yet... It's in decent shape, it's one of the most original looking ones I have seen.. The one rocker needs to be replaced, the other one is in really good shape. One of the supports under the cab has a hole rusted in it, but it doesn't appear to be too large... so, we'll see. it's an ugly ass gold color, looks straight 70's(no offense to anyone).. but maybe someday I'll try to re-do it and restore it cab off... I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and work on my own cars, but i've never had a car I can work on as a toy I guess or hobby... I've replaced a head gasket before and replace suspension parts, changed fluids all of those maintenance and some break fix, I like the way these trucks look and they seem easy to work on and good to drive around town and cruise in...
Anyone know how much longer a long bed or I guess non swb one is??? The short beds seem much harder to find...
