Alternative to changing to the coils, move the axle forward (redrill the spring perch) about a inch. That makes the front side shorter and stiffer and allow the back part of the spring to work (like old super stock springs). IMHO don't remove any leaves to reduce wheel hop.
Does it have the problem on both asphalt and concrete?
Might check to make sure every thing is tight on you rear end mounting points.

sorry about that should have made it clearer....on street tires it will burn the tires off no wheel hop....(asphalt r concrete) its when i'm at the track with the M/T Sticky's on....
