This is how I did mine. I never did cut the hole way back when(and sure glad i didnt) and had mounted a old Concord in the hole and kept the am radio. Then it came time to "upgrade" and the new decks just wouldnt fit without cutting the metal. so back went in the am and fabed up a glovebox mount. I see both sides to the cut/dont cut dillema, M2C to each ther own but at least you have the choice.
