A good practice if this is you daily driver or if for any reason you can't leave the rig out of service, make sure the fill plug will come out before you break your cover loose. A friend of mine learned this in Africa,he drove through lots of deep water and when he got to the village he popped his covers. He then discovered the rear fill plug was seized and he had no power tools.
