I'd paint it. I had the same thoughts running through my mind on my truck...what color, etc., before deciding to do a suede finish. When delivering it to the painter, I had decided to go with a glossy finish. If you change colors, you know to do the jambs, etc. You're a smart guy. But you have latitudes for variance in the interior, if you don't like the current one. GM let us order any color that they had, or special-order one, with their "suggested" interior color, but we didn't have to follow their suggestion.

Bottom line: it's your truck, treat it like you want it and make it what you want it to be. As you get older, you don't want to have any regrets....like I do about my past vehicles that got away or didn't get finished or done at all.
