Re: how low W/O cutting bed

Thanks for showin interest in my truck, Im new to this site and these trucks in general, so I've been learning alot in this forum. I bought this truck pretty much just the way it sits in these pics, but the previous owner has been one of my closest friends for 20+ years, so I've watched/helped with most of the mods done to it and when he needed to sell it due to having a baby it was offered to me at a price I couldnt pass up. Its a 71 with a 454, Th400, 3:73 posi, vintage air, and 4 wheel disc brakes rolling on 20's/22's. The truck was built to be a daily driver so the beds still kinda rough since its still used to haul stuff. The rear suspension has a homemade 4 link with a panhard bar. The c-notch was also homemade and is a little bigger than needed, but this was a first attempt at an air ride suspension and the notch was made plenty big enough to tuck the 22's. The bed floor was raised about 5 inchs so that the fuel cell could be left under the truck but raised up enough so it wouldnt drag. The fuel filler is in the left rear corner of the bed. The front of the box is still pretty rough and you can see the weld from where it was sectioned to raise the floor. It was the original panel and pretty beat up so it didnt come out as smooth as the new bedsides did, but I use this truck to haul stuff and to go camping all the time so its not a major concern to me right now. The back of the cab had to be slightly clearanced for the drive shaft and the crossmember was modified to run the exhaust through it. Hope this gives you an idea of the rear setup. These pictures are of ride height, aired down, inside the bed and under the bed.
