We`re alot the same,Mike.I have my son just getting behind the wheel alone since two weeks ago.I spent 6 months in the passenger seat and gave many a word of advise on dealing with deer and the road.Coming home at night I showed him how you "will" see deer,not maybe.I showed him the most likely types of places they`ll cross,why,and when.Also,one of the most common mistakes...you see a deer cross ahead of you and you think,"Shew,good thing he got across before I got there",and carry on.Then,POW!,the one behind runs right into your path.He knows to "expect" the one behing and that all they want to do is keep up with the one ahead.
Maybe some day there`ll evolve to stop,look,and listen...but I doubt it
.Their instincts may (I believe will) just outlast burning fossil fuels.They are creations of this earth,afterall.
Birds crap on or shiney wax jobs before we drive them,dogs pee on our tires,cats walk across our hoods,and on like that.I get aggrivated like anyone else.But,hey,I`m sure we get on their nerves,too.
It still SUCKS about your truck.They sure belong on country roads more than city streets,though.Maybe we could tell the deer to stay clear from classy GM trucks,at least.
