You are right about carshow people worrying about finishes on CARS, most of the judges who look at these trucks have no idea what is correct for them. I went to a show several years ago and competed against a very nice truck in the stock class- power coated frame, chrome valve covers, incorrect type battery worm clamps on hoses etc. and all the judges could do was oh and ah over the frame and all of the powder. That is all fine, but it is not correct! Finish was incorrect but the truck scored higher because the judges did not have a clue, this was a national show by the way.
