I invested in Second skin...note the word INVESTED...because it was
pricey.
I did research it throughly at the SoundDeadenerShowdown site plus visiting many other sites.
I am convinced the $ is going to prove well spent; not for the results especially (though they should prove top-drawer), but also the longevity of the product. I will probably always own the truck and don't want to mess with a failed product installed after my cab is reassembled.
Also, consider the fact that just patches of any sound deadener can reduce the noise in the cab.
...sympathetic noises can be slowed with sound deadening.
If you check out some sites related to sound transmission in duct work (household), you can better get a grasp of the mechanics of how weird noises can travel.
