For a cheap DIY sound deadener its either home depot or lowes sells a product called peal and seal. its an asphault type base with adhesive on one side and a foil liner on the other. On my s10 blazer my mufflers are very close to the floor and i put one layer in the rear passenger area and it helped alot. I have no experience with other "pricey" deadener but for 10 bucks a roll it made my truck bearable and kept my floor way cooler
