Welcome to the suburban board! Glad to hear from another suburban fan. As far as how rare these trucks are from the information that I have they made about 15 thousand suburbans a year during the 67-72 body style. That includes 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive vehicles. The 4x4 ones are a little rarer but they show up quite frequently on this board. My father in law has a 72 4x4 suburban that he is fixing up. As far as your suspension question goes I feel someone else would be better suited to answer that for you.
