Re: Additives: what works what doesn't?
I've been trying the STP Oil Treatment on the last two oil changes because it says on the bottle (in super small print) it contains a good bit of ZDDP. I put it in and I could immediately tell a difference and my mileage went up. It has to be though because my engine is worn and as thick as the stuff it is it has restored some of the compression. I'll continue to use it since it has the zddp I want and it gave me some compression back for only $1.99 a bottle/oil change. I use that and regular valvoline oil. Valvoline is all I have ever used and had no complaints ever.
