^^ This for one. Friction/rubbing for another. There is a reason fire departments use a rigid hose on the suction side of the pump. Think about it.... Short sections are OK for making connections though.

I have ordered pre-bent fuel lines before. If anything, there might be one bend that needs straightened. Otherwise, the suggestion about aluminum line is good as it bends easily by hand making it easy to run. This is one area where you don't want to be a cheap a$$.
