The door panels on my truck look pretty bad across the bottom so I took the passenger side one off. After peeling the covering off, I found that the steel panel is in pretty good shape, but 3 of the 4 screw holes are rusted out.
Has anyone patched one of these? Any recommendations?

Also, I want to try my hand at recovering these but I have never done it before. Anyone have experience with auto upholstery that wouldn't mind letting me pick their brains?
