Go with the 4L60E. 700 throttle valve cable problems aside the full bellhousing of the 4L60E is a structural member of the engine. and the "E" converter is bigger and you dont have to deal with a crank spacer. buy a complete package buying parts one at a time for LS series engines gets expensive.
