Some guy at the last big swap meet told me about this. I was looking at one that he had, and he told me that he had a nicer one in his trailer, which he took out and showed me. He said that it was the rarer one with the plastic letters, which he said were a GM part replacement that he got in the in early 80's. They were grey painted plastic letters. It really has got to be much like the dash bezels. They must have saved money by not chrome plating anything for NOS parts to save money. Trevor
