A factory setup should have the blades about 3/4 of the way inside the shroud for max cooling. If the truck was a orignal 6 cyclinder then you have the motor sitting in the six cyclinder location and not the v-8 location. This would explain why the blades are sitting outside the shroud.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
