i would definately put my vote in for either a 6.5 or a d-max. 6.5 is going to be the easiest to swap back in (1- there was already one there, 2- not many d-max's come as manual trans, harder to find the manual stuff for them)

i have a real hard time believing anyone is getting ANY mileage out of a 6.0 gas engine. im not real sure what your measurements convert to, but 6.0s get about 12 miles per gallon from what ive seen, with 6.5s getting between 18-24 depending on the truck and who is driving it. i cant really say on the 6.6s.

i also think the cummins is over-rated, yes they are a power house, but you pay for that many times over with how often front ball joints and steering components will need replaced.

you said you thought the cummins was a ford motor-- they are actually there own company, which is contracted out to dodge. powerstrokes are in fords (made by international) and duramax's are isuzu motors
