Some states title a truck by the year it's sold rather than its model year. So sometimes they're a year off. '71 model year Chevy trucks have a rearview mirror screwed to the top center of the windshield frame. '72s have the mirror glued to the center windshield. Only way to tell the '71/'72s apart from the outside.
