So why did they bother changing it? Curious as to who benefited from this change.
Whatever the case, I just ordered a pair of 1/4" spacers
on eBay. At $17.95 shipped, then $1.44 instant cashback via Bing, it's cheaper and a lot less hassle than going to a machine shop, and on this project I'm not gonna just take a grinder to my hubs. If they work, great. If they don't, it's not like I invested a fortune in 'em. Until the chrome fronts start shipping it's not an issue anyway. (To be honest, if I had known that after all this waiting they
still weren't going to fit right out of the box, I'm not sure I would have bothered with all this.)
