They're not entirely wrong. The rear offset (at least in 20x10) is wrong for the rear by about an inch and will require a spacer (more about that below). The front is fine (once you cut down the hub or use a small spacer).
There's nothing wrong with an adapter-style spacer in the rear, unless maybe you're putting down 800 ft-lb of torque and launching like a maniac. For a daily driver there's nothing wrong with a good bolt-on spacer (such as
this set that I recently purchased on eBay).
Bottom line is if you want these rims, you'll have to use spacers in the rear and work some kind of magic up front. They obviously weren't designed for our trucks, but making them work isn't difficult or dangerous.
