Well yesterday I found a very nice set of buckets and a console out of a '89 suburban for $250, but they were red/maroon so I called two different upohlstery shops here in town and they both wanted around $200-$225 a piece to recover the seats. That's gonna put me at around $650-$675 for the buckets and that's more than I'm wanting to spend. The alternative is to find a set of nice grey/charcole seats out of a newer chevy that I don't have to recover, but I don't know if I can make them fit and if I can't I'll be out the money and still no buckets. I found a really nice set of grey "nearly new" split buckets and console that fit a 2004-2007 chevy. Will I be able to make these fit in my truck without drilling/cutting holes in the floor of my cab? Has anyone put these newer style seats in a older truck? What did you have to do to male them fit? Are there any other options for buckets as far as aftermaker other than the customs with the wood on the center console? I don't like the look of the wood so that's not a option.
Any ideas or suggestions would be apprecited.
