Ok Here you go...just to confirm that you are asking about putting the manual locking hubs with rotors back on a 84-87 K20...here's what my service manual says about tightening the axle nut (spanner nuts) back on the axle...make sure you have repacked the bearings with grease... While rotating the wheel/rotor, use the spanner socket on a torque wrench to torque the nut to 50 ft lbs....then back the nut off 90 degrees or 1/4 turn..while slowly turning the wheel/rotor retighten the nut to 35 ft lbs...then back it off 3/8ths of a turn...final step is putting on the lock nut against the spanner nut...you will either have a cotter pin or merely make sure the lock nut is very tight to keep the spanner from backing out.
