I can see what you mean, I saw the picture on LMC of the side mount tank, that flat section must be what you are talking about that goes under the cab.

I guess my search continues, at least now I know better where to look. I highly doubt there is a camper place or dealer that still mounts them, but I could get lucky and find another one of these old tanks somewhere.

I'll probably end up just finding a random tank that will fit in the space, and straping it in.
