Resurecting this from the dead....I have the same issue, and looking for ideas or adjustments. This is the only thread that comes up searching. Mine is a 67 3/4 ton with the Rockwell T-221. Shifts smooth from 4-lo to N-and N to 4hi-wants to go into 2wd, but won't stay, and shifter wants to almost hit the hump to engage in 2wd, but it jumps back to 4. Tcase was professionally rebuilt less than 200 miles ago.
Any ideas?
