If you have a '68 the only hang-up is your frame MAY have to be "dinged in" behind a power steering box. As to year, anything up to 1988 off a c10 2wd will work, but it is easier if you get the "whole shootin' match," that is pump, brackets, hoses, crank pulley, and box from the same donor truck. Others may work, too. Some time in the late '70s Chevy switched to metric hose fittings, so be aware of that. Get the clamp/s off the frame that hold the lines, too. Don't forget the belt!
It takes longer at the junkyard to pull the stuff than it does to put it back on your truck. Be sure to write down the model year in case you ever need hoses.
This and power brakes are the best mods I have done on my truck!
