I ran mine on the outside of the frame rails. Long tube Headers, 30" Cherry Bombs, 2-1/2" pipes running to back roll pan. Ended up cutting the exhaust off nearly flush with the roll pan, I didn't want the tips to stick down since everything looks smooth across the back.
