Hi Brian, below are a few pictures of the real deal one year 72 big block towers & clamshells. The look, shape, height and mounting hole dimensions changed on the later stands/towers. I have seen the 73 & up type come in on a few 67-72 BBC converted trucks, but they have been made to work w/re-drilling and extra mock up work, I have even seen spacers used on the top of frame rails on some of these modded creations. I am in no way trying to start up a debate here in your FS thread (these guys know who they are ) as the later type can be made to work and for some they are fine with the non OE type due to the rarity/cost factor of the real 72's, just trying to save you a possible hassle from an unknowing buyer who maybe going for the period correct looking big block conversion.
