3.90's aren't a rumor. I know because I have them in my HO52. I had to have them put in with a detroit locker by this outfit: http://www.ringpinion.com/

I think they use Yukon mostly. I think the opportunity to put new ones in may have ended a few years ago though...probably makes my axle a rarity.
