Bruceman68, I should have got those casting numbers, but I didn't. I'll get them next time I see the blocks. They'll be a lot easier to see then, anyway

68 Iron, I don't know how this guy cleans them, but I've had several done by him and however he does it, it works!

I'm excited to get going on this stage of the project. I've wasted enough time already. All I sent down this time was the 2 cranks. I still want to take one more trip to the wrecking yards to see if I can find a 194 head. I have several heads to choose from-I also want to make sure this machinist is comfortable with installing the lumps in the ports. I'm sure he can do it, but I don't want mine to be the first one he does. Defiantly the hardened valves, and probably larger valves, too, at least on the one that will be naturally aspirated. Not sure if that's necessary on the one that will get the blower.
