Good advise. I recently removed some old, rusty four tubes and ancient glasspacks. Went back to OEM cast irons. Had a local shop build,
well, pretty much (above). Sorry for "W-I-P" pictures. (pic 1) Ran tubes back from front , over trailing arms, and a couple of well-placed bends over the rear and Panhard Bar. Back to a pair of, believe or not, Thrush Turbo's(pic 2). Added a pair of 3" x 12" angle-cut chromies and done. With the mufflers at the back, the cab exhaust noise is greatly reduced.
