I might also post here that my "budget build" has turned into a "far exceeded budget build". The 307 is going to be mean.....But obviously getting some of the work done instead of doing it myself, and having to replace the heads and manifold have driven the cost up considerably!

But i did get to see the cleaned up block, pistons, crank and cam this weekend and man i cant wait to get this thing put together!!!!

So to put it all together, here is what the engine will be

307 bored .040
.040 over flattop pistons
crank journals machined .010
Comp Cam 270H
Headers
Hei distributor
Edelbrock vortec intake
new balanced worked 305 vortec heads
edelbrock 600 carb

Hopefully that lil combo will add up to some decent power. If i can get 325Hp out of this 307 then its more than i could ask for.... From what the shop says he thinks that will be on the low end on what he thinks it will make...
