You can tell if it's a 292 by measuring the side covers on the passenger side of the block. 4 1/2 is 250 or below and about 6 is a 292. Also a 292 has an offset passenger motor mount where the 250 & under has motor mounts centered on each side.

There should be matching flanges on the intake and exhaust with a gasket between them but it seems like yours don't quite match up like they should.
