Re: Finally starting my Longhorn 4x4 conversion

Today was a good day and I managed to get a lot done on the truck. I got it in the big bay and put exhaust on it. It was a pita and I had to use some left over pieces to get this done. (I'm trying to save some money where I can) I still have to put a couple more band clamps on it, but the exhaust is mostly done. It is a 4" down pipe into 5" behind the tcase, and 5" out the back in to a 6" tip.

I got all the turbo piping welded up. Now I have to smooth the welds out and paint them. I also got the inner wheel wells off the wall and trimmed them to clear my intercooler piping. I also started rust repair on them. They were rusted out where the braces are where they bolt to the fenders.

I installed the rh battery tray to see what clearance I had to get the air filter in there. I had to modify my pipe, but we finally got it in there where it looks decent. I have to finish welding this pipe tomorrow.
