The 3 finger type clutches used a counter weight to use the centrifical force at high RPM,s to increase the clamping load.
The diaphram type clutches use a Bee-hive finger arangment to acomplish this. You don't need a high performance or heavy duty clutch unless you have some serious HP. The replacement type clutch from the parts store is smoother & less pedal pressure.
