When buying used wheels, there are more 5-lug options. However, if you do get a 6 lug truck, converting to 5 lug is pretty easy. I have six lug and 5 lug C-10.
Both my trucks have coils and are very easy (cheap) to lower. Not sure about the leaf trucks.
