It really depends on the rpm, keep that in mind too - are you planning on spinning it over 6k? I don't think you would lose a ton of top end, if any at all. 600hp is kind of the break point for 1.75". Plenty of big inch small blocks make over that with a 1.75", but yes I understand you have a BB. But again, if you want something that fits really well and it costs you 5-10hp (which I'm not sure it would) it may be worth the trade. Maybe call some header mfg's and see what they say? Are you building a street truck or a dragster?
