Thanks Guys! That's exactly what I was looking for.
It looks like Boom Mats come in 3.5" deep and 4.5" deep. The 3.5" will just barely clear my speakers (which is fine), but I'm thinking I will buy the 4.5" as long as it's not too deep for the door and will not interfere with any of the door internals.
The problem is, I won't be able to able to measure the inside of my doors until this weekend, but I don't think I will have a problem with the 4.5".

I was looking at Marine speakers and none were attractive to me, most were white with a goofy looking grill.
And after reading your statement, I read the fine print on my speakers:
"Marine Certified means the DXi690 is built tough to withstand the harshest environments on the water."
This is really cool! I think I may try the Boom Mat for piece of mind. Thanks for the information! I had no idea, I guess I got lucky, lol.

Oh no, I'm not cutting anything additional. My Dad cut holes in the doors some 20 years ago...so I'm kind of just working with what I have. If it were up to me, I'd look into my options that didn't require body modifications.
