I used to think that too until I tried to put a 65 Corvair wheel in my 66 Chevelle. The shaft is alot smaller on the Corvair so no go.
Just thought I'd toss that out there in case anyone wanted to put a Corvair wheel in. They are a nice looking wheel too.
