If you have found a Dana rear end in a half ton truck, it's a 44 not a 60.
If it really is a 60, it's not a half ton axle.
Either way, I always recommend against installing used gears. It is just not worth the risk. New gears are not that much money, it's the labor that will cost you.....but it is worth it. Pay the pro, get the warranty, sleep well.
Most pros won't install used gears anyway.....and if they do, likely will not warranty them.
