I can add a logical reasoning to support this, though I can't verify based on actual experience. Allow me to state my hypothesis

1. Speedwarnings are designed to buzz when a preset speed is exceeded. That is the premise for having one.

2. The are annoying by design.

3. Who would benefit from this premise/design better than sites where speed sensitivity is a safety issue (construction sites, airports, etc).

4. heavy duty trucks would be more predomanent in such sites.

5. It would be very easy to preset them, then remove the needle set knob so the setting could not be overridden easily.

6. The cluster design for series 10-30 and 40-60 are essentially the same so a speedwarning would be a no R&D option cost.

Jerry, I suggest you may want to take a double take at those bigger rigs.
