the camaro guys run 7.5" all day long and never blow them up is whats wierd... no matter the engine they put in.. ive been digging around and have seen that soem of them are running some damn quck times without a hitch(stock rear axle)
alot of the 71 72 G body ran the 8.2" axle I have found, but you can find 8.5" too, on each side of the third memember housing near the left and right rear webbing below the cover youll see two square corners jutting out, those are the 8.5", or if one has a 12 bolt then that will work
